Scenes Around Town

Postby Pokie » Sat Nov 07, 2009 8:08 am

OK, it's not like I'm expecting a mad rush to visit our town of 1000, but I thought I'd post a few shots of scenes from around town.
Travel Talk seemed like the best place to put them.
Every now and again I am able to get 'out'. This year I've had the chance to visit and shoot at Death Valley and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
But a lot of the year, here I am, in an area that I tend to think of as 'scenically challenged'.
I've tried to select a few shots that help interpret our town/county. Even though I tend to shoot landscapes, I'm thinking about trying to approach this task seriously over the next year. I'd like to capture the architecture, industry, history, homes, and flavor of a small town.
Appreciate any thoughts or comments.

Nice flavor of small town. Station and brick-wall patterns very interesting.
