Weekend Mushing

Postby hw771230 » Wed Jan 28, 2009 1:24 am

Hi All,

I just wanted to share a couple of shots from my weekend. It was nice and sunny so I decided to go out to a mushing race and get a couple of shots. Let me know what you think.

Man nice series Caleb.
I like the second one, makes me set here and wait for the rest to go by.

Thanks Royce,

I had a great time taking photos there. I'll probably go to another one this weekend if the weather forecast is wrong.

Very nice...brings back memories of the days my wife and I had our dog team. We were a part of a group of mushers from Indiana. We would head to the UP of Michigan for 10 days every February and recreationally run our teams...Lots of fun...

The Iditarod starts in a few weeks - are you going?

Nice shots!
Beautiful eyes in the first pic.
Action in the second.
Keep shooting and watch out for the volcano!

Thanks Tom. Glad I could bring back good memories. I am not sure about the Iditarod. I may be on a backcountry trip at the time. I will be heading to the tail end of the Yukon Quest directly after a trip to the mountains in about 3 weeks though. I hope to get a bunch of good mushing pics in the next 2 months.

Pokie, thanks for the comments. I have been keeping a close eye on that thing, but from a loooong ways away. I am hundreds of miles from there. Hopefully the ash fallout does not go north.

2nd one does it for me!

Looking at them makes me pull my hat down a little tighter and I'm in Michigan with single digit temps

Thanks Luca and Pat.

Pat, I'm heading out again today at -22. I'll be thinking of you and pulling my hat down a bit today.
