This is in Lincoln, NE
I was standing where the horses come on and off the track (the gap) right where they come out of the far turn.
It takes a certain kind of patient horse to put up with these frisky youngsters bouncing all over the countryside...
Sometimes I get lucky, and I get all four feet, the head of the rider, and the tail all in the frame. And when they have all four feet off the ground, even better!
No one really poses for you out there
Very hit and miss. Luckily there are dozens of gallopers riding around and around in circles for the better part of two hours that I was out there, so out of a few hundred, I can get some decent ones.
