Error Page

Postby CG415 » Tue Jul 08, 2008 6:45 am

Has any one else been getting an error page when they try to log in or is it just me. I have tried this on two computers and I get the same thing. After I log in and get the message I just back up one page and refresh and everything seems fine it's just frustrating. This just started yesterday.

Thanks,

Chris

Yeah, I'm getting it too.

What I noticed is the original site was just a www. page and now it is a www2. page I have no idea what this is or why it just started happening, but maybe OP needed to redo some stuff on their end and needed to get a new page name?

It sucks that it's happening, but I'm glad that I'm not the only one that is having problems.

Thanks Pat,

Chris

hey guys, you just need to update your bookmark.
It seems that they moved the website to a new server (which should make it more speedy).

yeah... I havent had a chance to get online for the last 3 days... and I type in my URL's by hand at work.... and it wouldnt come up. I went to the OP main page and got in that way. Once it loaded... I noticed the www2. For some reason.. .they dont have the re-direct from the login to the www2. It still redirects to www.

I hope they change back to www.... cause I cant save any bookmarks at work. My memory stinks.. and I know I will forget the 2 in the URL.

I've been having a difficult time getting on the board as well.

Over the course of the last week I have received two new passwords, but activating those passwords by clicking on the e-mail link only took me to a red bordered box listing several reasons that might prevent me from logging on. Trying to log on by going through the OP website didn't work either (note that this uses the www2, so was not just an issue of using an old bookmark.)

Finally, I got one of the passwords to work and posted my fox shots. Then it too, failed.

Frustrated, I sent a message back to OP and got this message in reply (actually in just a few minutes):

-----------------------------

Gordon, I'm passing this on to our Web Programmer. We've been having some sporadic glitches, as we recently moved our website to a new server.

I won't be in tmmw, but hopefully it will be worked out.

One trick that MIGHT work, is to try sticking a 2 after the www, whenever you get an error message, and clicking enter.

So sorry for the inconvenience.

Tom

------------------------------

Please note that the suggestion of typing in "www2" did not work for me. It's just working on its own again.

Just sounds like they are having troubles migrating to the new server, plus maybe some complicating factors thrown in to boot.

To their credit, however, the quick response was welcome and appreciated. Implies that they really are concerned. As a result, despite the problems, I really am pleased with the response.

Gordon,
as I mentioned in another post, even after you get the message the site will log you in (since you're posting I guess it's happening). It happened to me, I'd get a message saying login was incorrect but I was getting logged in normally, so the error is just that page showing, not the login procedure itself.

Unfortunately, that wasn't working for me. It may have been partially an issue with my equipment, because this evening I'm able to log on from my laptop, but not from my desktop. This morning, I couldn't log on using either.

Well, I'm sure they'll get everything working.

I'm still a happy camper, but tending towards the grumpy side of the happiness continuum.... :o
