Amazon, I need advice

Postby outdoor-passion » Tue Mar 24, 2009 5:12 pm

I am looking at buying a Canon Rebel XSi from amazon.com. It is about $150.00 cheaper than any other place I have looked. Has anybody had any bad experiences buying from them? It says that it is sold and shipped by amazon.com, so there shouldn't be any problems with a "third party" right?

Thanks!

If sold and shipped by Amazon, I wouldn't have any hesitation. I've bought a ton of stuff from them and have had nothing but pleasant transactions.

BTW, every once in a while, they will have a fantastic deal that nobody matches. I try to take advantage of them when I find them.

90% of the purchases I made online in the past 10 years were on Amazon.com
They are one of the few companies left with a good customer service (at times bordering on excellent). I have a 15 pages wish-list there :)
I also got my 100-400 L at Amazon.

I can only echo what Bob and Luca have both said, never had any problems with Amazon and my wife buys stuff on a regular basis from them without any hiccups.

I have bought on some occasions from their 3rd party sellers but again you would never know, always had excellent services. I think they may even run a feedback rating a little like Ebay.

Agree with what the others have said.

Whether its with Amazon or with one of their 3rd party suppliers, I've never once had an issue with anything I've ordered from them. You'd have to think that they're one of the largest Internet Sellers, so they have to have good ratings.
