Hi guys!

I'm pretty new on this forum (first post) but I wanted to share with you my homemade beanbag. I don't think it's exceptionnal, but sharing ideas in a community is great to improve your own gear.

I've used Swedish army bandana's as fabric. Added to this : Swiss army nylon webbing and Blackhawk paracord.

So, first, when flat on the ground for a lower profile

To have a higher profile, I fold it in half (the paracord helps to avoid unfolding it each time you move)

When folded, I can tighten the paracord to a maximum to get an even higher position

But it also allows me fo let my camera sit on a branch, limb, fence or chair

With the webbing handle I can fix it to my tripod for more stability. I've made strong stitches and doubled the fabric. Oh ang the good thing is, in a survival situation, I'll have Redbeans for 5 days ^^!

So, guys, tell me what you think, what could be improved in the next model and why not share pictures of your own ?

Have a nice day! Cheers from Switzerland

Welcome to the Forum!!

I think you've come up with a very usefull tool. It would probably work great shooting out a vehicle window too.
BUT, that last shot scares the he!! out of me! I think I'd stick with my tripod for that setup. :)

Hey! Thanks for the welcome word!

Well, the car window, that's what I've forgot in my listing!

Actually, I was ready to grab my SLR at any moment, I was scared too, BUT this picture was just intended to show the stability. Don't worry, I'll never do that again and that's not the usual use of my beanbag ;-)

Thanks for the reply!
