If you're traveling by some other means, is the piece meant to simply store the equipment while traveling or do you also plan for it to be used while shooting?
I have a Pelican case that I use to store my equipment when at home or traveling by car, but I don't use it for my outings. It's large and has wheels so it makes it ideal for travelling, but way too big to use for outings. Here's a pic of the Pelican.

I believe the Pro Trekker can be carried on planes and fit in the overheads, so if you only wanted to take one bag, that could be the better choice. Personally, I haven't carried that much equipment into the field to use (although I may carry quite a bit in my vehicle), so it's hard for me to imagine what would be required. I usually just carry a shoulder bag with one camera, 5 or 6 lenses (at the most), a flash, some hoods, filters, spare cards and batteries and some cleaning equipment. I actually try to carry as little as I think I can get by with, although after seeing your galleries and the places you visit, I would probably take everything I own. I'm looking forward to seeing pics from your trip.
