French Creek & fall

Went to French Creek state park as the leaves were starting to change :

I think I could have gotten a better sky/water ratio & a little cropping in the first pic .

Mr. F -
Nice shots.
In addition to your comment, a split or graduated neutral density filter in the first pic might have allowed for a better exposure of the sky and balance between the sky and reflection.

Where is French Creek? In PA?
About 20 years ago we went to Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" in Western PA about this time of year.
The setting and the scenery were spectacular.
I'd have to dig through the old film to find the pics.
Probably nothing more than snapshots.
If I were still in that part of the country, I'd put it high on the list to visit.

Yes French Creek is in PA - in the south east - when you start getting into Amish country . I have just started going there & am finding lots of great photo oppurtunitties ! Thanks for the tip with the first shot . I went back a week or 2 later to try some better pics of the lake but a recent storm had stripped the trees along the lake bare of leaves !

Oh that first shot is absolutely beautiful! I love it! It's calming to look at and despite the fact that it's Fall, it made me feel all warm inside :)
