Another one....

Postby Farmerj » Fri Nov 07, 2008 10:34 am

Just another new guy.

First time I have taken and stepped into a dSLR and trying to do what I can to enjoy it.

Much to learn and lots to enjoy doing it.

Some of the pictures I have taken with the camera so far. For some reason I get the dreaded "Red X" when I use the IMG button. :?:

And it's not just the camera one has to learn. But the composing and post developing as well.

Hi, and welcome.
You can't post links from Picasa with the IMG tag becase Picasa doesn't show the file ending with .jpg
the URL must end with JPG or you can't use the link.
I took a look at your link, I think your strongest photo is 11, really nice. I hope you will stick around here, I'm sure you will pick good pointers about composition and light.

*waves* hello! and I welcome you!!!!

I agree with Luca, shot 11 was fabo!!!!
Yeah picasa is....WEIRD, and doesn't let you post pics....I've been there. really irksome. So now I use Flickr,[though you have a limit each month of how many photos you can keep on it if you use the free part of it], so I mostly use Facebook. just easier for me.

And congrats, Luca!!!! Let's throw a party!

Thanks! I partied a lot this week so I'll take a break ;-)
I posted some photos from Spain but it seems nobody has seen them yet, they are under the travel forum section.

Thanks on that one.

It was my first attempt at doing an HDR image. The "spot" on the image is something on the UV filter. I thought I had cleaned it off since then, but it's still there.

Can I make you really hurt.

2 weeks ago I took my computer to my folks. They debug computers and stuff for a living in retirement.

They were kind enough to reformat my hard drive and put about 4 GIGS of pictures onto an external hard drive.

That picture, and all my other bracketed images then were reformatted and lost on the external hard drive.

I wanted to practice making HDR's with about 60 sets of that image and a bunch of other shots. All gone now.

Including the files for this picture:picture is hot linked back to Picassa to view full size.
