Saludos de Espana!

Postby gldiana » Thu Nov 06, 2008 4:48 pm

Hola guys,
just visited Barcelona in Spain and thought I'd drop a couple of photos of this beautiful city before I go to bed and rest my feet after walking about 7 million miles in 5 days.

Nice fotos Luca! These Gaudi monuments are really nice!
I like the 5, you can see Sagrada Familla. Park Guell and Sagrada familla, a very nice dialog.

Cool Shots man!

I like 5 & 7 the best. That Ferris Wheel with the city trailing off behind it is a great shot!

I love the roof on that building in #5 I bet you're filling up those hard drives that you bought just before leaving!

Cant wait to see the book from this trip!

Thank you guys!

Caleb, that mosaic is the Gaudi Dragon. I didn't go crazy for it until I saw it in person, like all work of Gaudi it's truly amazing and photos do not give it justice.

Giorgios,
you're the only person so far who has noticed the line up of Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia in the same shot. Thanks! :)

Pat,
you're definitely right. Today I shot my 3000th photo with the new 50D (and still loving it), RAWs are ~20MB each. In Barcelona I took 706 photos and tomorrow morning I'm off to another trip to Central Sardinia. Another bright note: I sold my 70-200 L on ebay in Italy. What sucks is that the Euro dropped from 1,65 to 1,20 US Dollars, which might be good news to you but to me that means a loss of $150 on the sale of the lens. Oh well, can't win them all, right? Sold the lens for about $420 equivalent (after ebay/paypal very high fees and postage). Trying to sell the never-used 28-135 IS USM now.

No, not that crazy, just desperate for money. I sold it for 400 euros, at previous exchange rate that would have been $660, but the Euro dropped and that came to only $480. Ebay charged me 25 Euros for listing/closing fees and another 18 Euros went to PayPal (owned by ebay). Shipping came to 12 Euros.
I paid $580 last year but used it very little so it's in like-new conditions, manual, original box, no scratches, etc. I would have liked to make more but I gotta pay rent.
