5D and tamron

i was looking at the 5d but the lens i got idk if they will work heres the link: http://www.tamron.com/lenses/prod/70300_di_a017.asp i cant figure out if its EF or EF-S
could anyone help with this?......................... :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

I'm not sure why they wouldnt work together, but to be on the safe side, bring your camera bag down to a camera store that sells the 5D, most Best Buys or Circuit City's will have one if you dont have a speciality camera store near by, and see if you could put your lens on it.

You dont have to buy it from the store, but just tell them you're saving up and want to know if the combo will work.

I'd bring a Compact Flash card and run a few dozen pictures through the camera with the lens on and bring your card home so you can sit and play with the images on your computer to see if you like what you get.

That lens is a di lens, which means that it can be used on full frame or crop camer bodies. diII in Tamron speak is a lens for only crop bodies.

I do agree with Pat here. Take the lens in to a store and try it out on the camera you are looking at. Also take a CF card and get couple shots. Even though you know that the lens will work on thta body, it may vignet or have some other undesirable trait on full frame camera.
