I have the Canon one, pretty nice and only $39 but I wish it had a place for a water bottle.

I have a Lowepro micro trekker 200. Has room for camera body, at least two lenses, padded inside & shoulder straps, and you can configure it the way you want. It also has straps to carry your tripod. All for around $85.00 retail. It works for me! jk

One possibility are the sling bags.

I like the idea behind these bags as they have only one strap and can swivel around the body so it can go from the back to the front for quick, easy access to gear. I've got a bit too much gear for these bags, but it might be something that might work for you.

See these links:

Lowepro: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/3 ... amera.html

Tamrac: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4 ... Sling.html

Both manufacturers offer these bags in various models, so you may want to look at others within these lines.

I use a variety of bags and packs, but two that I highly recommend you look at are the Vertex bags from LowePro (which come in three sizes) and the Chest Vest. While the Chest Vest isn't a backpack, it's a very ingenious and well-balanced harness system in which you can securely carry a lot of gear. I use it more often than any of my backpacks. Good luck.

Check out

Fred Miranda.com and look at their buy/sell forum. Tons of people upgrading or getting rid of unused stuff on there.

or

POTN - Canon Photography on the Net - Doesnt matter if you shoot Canon or not. Check out their Buy/Sell forum and you should be able to find some great stuff on there too.

One of these two forums is where I find all my stuff and save a ton of money!!!!

I have a couple of the Lowepro slingshots and have been very happy with them. Very comfortably and distributes the weight nicely, it does not feel like a bunch of gear on my back for hours on end.
