So today, while at lake Michigan with mom, these birds flew above us.[a good flock of em too.]
Their bellies were white and so was part of their neck. Their backs and wings were black. They made this higher pitch sound that was really fast.
first when they flew above i shouted"LOOK! PENGIUNS!" then stopped for a moment, "Wait, pengiuns can't fly...what the heck are those?!"
we asked a gentleman, who was also on the peer, if he knew what they were he said his first thought was they were penguins too. LOL!
Anyway! Mom and I are looking in our birds books trying to figure out what they were, but are failing. I wasn't able to get a photo of them, well i did but since my camera wasn't designed for those kinds of photos, all i got was a flock of birds in the sky. can't really see the colors/looks of them very well.
I think some of you on here are into birds, so i thought i'd ask.
Oh and btw, we live in West Michigan.
thank you for your help in advance.
