Hey gang,

Just want to let you know that I'm fully aware of the recent problems with spammers getting through our filters. I do check the forum for such problems on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. We did have to change our screening system recently because the number of spammers I was filtering out before they could even post something was reaching more than fifty per day.

We see now, however, that the current system isn't working. It's a tricky situation, since most of our man-hours have to go into publishing. But we want to keep the OP Forum a safe and nurturing place for you and all new legit members. Please hang in there, while we work something out to once again keep the site spam-free.

Thanks Tom. They are a pain....I have a blog and a forum and I have to clean out several dozen every day.
Good luck on finding a good filter. I sure haven't found one yet. At least I know that if I ever need Amoxicillin or a teenage nymph, I'll be able to find them easily,,,

Cheers Tom,

Your efforts are appreciated, thanks for letting us know.

BTW the last spammer on the foot thingy I thought was quite funny how everyone started posting feet photos

Hey Tom,

please consider adding a random keyword generator at the sign-up stage, so a bot won't be able to create an account.

Yeah, that was the first thing we implemented way back when. These particular
spammers aren't bots.

The problem is that people who make their living by spamming sites like this
not only take the time to do the keyword generation, but also are
now making the time to reply to the activation email.

Maybe you could select a few members here from those who have been here the longest/most active to be able to kill the spammer so that you don't have to search the entire threads all the time.
