I'm going to have my first large picture printed. I have the option of Kodak Professional Glossy or Metallic paper.
I assume there is some advantage in metallic since It's more expensive. What is the difference?

I'm guessing you're ordering from MPIX.
I use both papers, the metallic is great for photos that are exposed in rooms with lots of light as it will make the colors shine and give them and almost 3D effect. Doesn't work that well on portraits but it's awesome for landscapes.
