Lens hood

Postby peter nap » Mon Mar 30, 2009 5:25 pm

i have a Sigma lens that doesn't appear to have a bayonet mount for the lens hood. If I get a screw in hood, am I going to get vignetting ?
It's a 25-200 wide angle.

Sorry.....40D.

I tried it once with my XS and it did if I had a filter on.

i dont know for sure but my guess is that it wouldent because 28 MM isent that wide plus you have a crop frame sensor, so it sould be like 44 MM

You could very well, if you get the wrong hood. I have a Nikon 18-200, with FACTORY hood. At 18, I can see it just starting in a couple cases. A bit of a crop will take care of the problem in my case, but I cannot speak for anything else. :)
