Oops. I am neither. I have a pentax K100 and the istD. The lens is the 4.5 75-300mm. It seems the camera store in Omaha is more of a canon/nikon place, although they do have Pentax. Someone here said the lenses are more important than the body - the guy had a nikon, and it was taking pictures one on top of the other. I had the istD out, and it will take some pictures, but not that quick. I can't remember if the K100 is faster or not. I have no intention of selling any photos, but it helps to see what I shot in order to paint it
I think I'm doing all right, but it's confusing to see someone with a lens 4X the size of mine, and all that is different is the aperature. Go figure. It helps meeting other photographers at work. He had a monopod with him, too. Probably to help him hold up that huge, huge lens!
