Full HD Movie capabilities, 10 megapixel, wide all the way to a pretty good telephoto reach and 4fps is very impressive for a high end point and shoot.
If you were just looking to streamline what you carry around, I'm thinking this would be a great addition.
It basically has everything that made me leave the point and shoot at home and only carry around the DSLR. The only thing I'd like to see is what is the shutter lag. This is the one factor that keeps me from picking up point and shoots no matter how nice they seem. Something about having to anticipate what is going to happen so you can press the shutter to wait the few seconds before the camera will actually take the picture just ruins it all for me.
I'd probably go to the nearest place that has one and sit and play with it for a few. Snap some pictures in the store to see how fast it shoots and focuses.
I'd be interested to see what you think, because I had just said to Cindy that we need to get a point and shoot for times we ourselves dont want to lug the enormous amount of gear we normally carry with us. But neither of us could think of a model we wanted except for the new Olympus that is waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof. Only because of how rough we are on our point and shoots
