I've had a bit of a diaster with my Tameron 28-80mm lense.
My friends dog knocked over my camera bag and my camera and Tameron lense rolled into a puddle.
Camera is fine but the lense had some water in it, not a great amount, a few drops came out of it then it promptly misted up. I've let it dry out and the internal elements have dried out dirty, very dirty infact.
I've taken it in to be cleaned and they called today to say the lense was beyond ecomonical repair, I have asked them whilst they have it in bits to clean the element anyway and I'll have the lense back with the intention of using it.
However thinking about it today is this wise ?
Do I stand a fair chance of damaging my camera by now using this lense ?
Any opinions would be greatfully received.
Thanks in advance.
