I'm with you Kelly, I'd take the 1DIII all day long over the 5DII

I'm fine with 10mp, its the bare minimum for most magazines to accept images, so I'd take the faster frame rate over the full frame any day of the week. Plus the Mark III has the 45point auto-focus and will focus so much faster when panning, or trying to grab an image of an animal running or moving compared to the 5D

Plus, if you've ever felt the solidness of the 1D series of bodies, having a xxD body with a grip on feels very flimsy. Once you get used to having your controls when the camera is tilted vertically, you cant go back to holding a body without a grip on....at least I cant.

I wanna be a sports photog one day, but I've got a long way to go. I'm gonna try to work with a local sports photog soon, his name is Tim Cowie. Davidson College Volleyball Coach and designated athletics photog haha. I don't really have a lens to shoot sports though. http://www.digitupsports.smugmug.com/
