Luca,

I almost deleted it too since I think it is just a way to link to his web site, but didn't feel it was too flagrant so let it go.
We probably should have sent him a warning.

Rather than delete it, since I agree with the two of you that it is useful info, I just removed his links and left his great message for us to take to heart.

I see no need in advertising an outdoor store that isnt camera specific unless he's posting a bunch of photos to go along with his link.

Well if I sing, there will be no bears, or anyone else around. :) Not sure why this might have been subject to deleting as there are MANY campers out here. We spend a LOT of time camping and just returned from a two week + trip down the entire 469 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway then on the the Smokies. We are at present planing a trip next year up through NY into Canada, then turn left to the Alaska HWY and on to Anchorage, where our son lives with our lovely daughter-in-law. Bears are a REAL concern, and the fine in the Smokies at present can be $75.00 & up. This is no joke- you don't leave food out, or anything used to cook in. Not in your tent, or camper either. Our son down the street gave us a 'YETI" cooler that fits across the rear of the truck bed. When locked, it is bear proof. We saw 3 bears on this last trip, two, were in the campground during the day. Every park has information to hand out on bear proofing your camp. If you are in doubt, ASK!!! Oh yeah, we don't do too bad for seniors. :)

Well, it wasn't really about deleting the post (since it's still here as we all agreed that it's useful information) but about deleting the advertising after the post.

Oh I see. I clicked on them, nothing came up. Not that I need anything. :)

I always discourage people from clicking on websites they don't know. That could be enough to install a virus or spyware, especially if using Internet Explorer.

G~ I quite understand, but in 25 years of using a MAC, there has been none that I know of-- I don't want to find out either. :)
