IS Air Force Thunderbirds

Postby Bonish Photo » Wed Jul 29, 2009 9:13 am

There was an Air Show last week in Cheyenne Wyoming where the Thunderbirds performed as a sideshow for the Frontier Days Rodeo

This was the first Air Show I've ever shot, and man they are hard to track when they're this close to the ground!! I know Cindy said she was hurting her neck just trying to follow them through the lens as they were flying over so low and so fast. I think Luca got some good shots too, so I'm eager to see his, I just thought I'd post a few of mine to get him to post his...LOL

It's just perspective, they're really not that close to each other.

Excellent shots Pat.

Funny enough I was reading an article in a magazine a few days ago about how to shoot air shows. Your images are just as good as the ones they had in their article.

Any Advice greatfully received.

I love the last one. It certainly doesn't look like this one was your first air show. Pat.

Little OT but... it depends on the plane, on an F16 a 6'5" person would be extremely uncomfortable. I think you should check the Air Force website and use the Live Chat.
