Fall is coming :D

Postby Mitchell » Sun Aug 16, 2009 7:25 pm

The leaves are changing and it been below freezing at night (even at 8:00 this morning)
Last night we went out shooting the sunset at the lake and I could hardly control my camera my fingers were so cold..
So my question is does anyone know of good photography gloves for extreme cold weather? latly its been fine but winter is coming fast and i want to be ready to take pictures when it comes. Im talking about -10 F. to +20 F. most of the time..
i have seen the lowepro gloves but i just dont think those would work for this cold of weather. And i dont a huge snowmobile pair of gloves becuase then i cant control the camera..

Thanks A Ton Mitchell :D

Someone else asked this last year, and Luca recommended the Cloudveil gloves he uses. Shoot him a PM or have him list them here on this thread so others can see them too.

Come on Luca, how about you get some practice shooting Product photography and post up a few pictures of you in your fancy gloves

Below Freezing  ALREADY

I'm glad I don't live there. :D :D

Its finally been sunny here for the past few days and had to move over 300 bales of hay into storage. :(

Sorry back to the thread.

Mitchell I guy I know of in Scotland spends a lot of time photographing sea otters and he uses divers gloves. Warm, waterproof and you can still freely use your fingers. :D

I still have a pair of glove liners from my Ski Instructor days (almost 40 years ago).

They're very thin and warm unless it;s raining. If they still make them, they should work for you too. The other option would be to get shooting gloves with the index finger removed.
