Surfers at Lake Michigan?

Postby Photography~girl~ » Fri Aug 21, 2009 8:23 pm

It was a shock, yet so totally awesome. :D Glad i had the telephoto with me. lol. I could've plopped down and watched(and shot) those guys for hours - oh wait, i did. hahahaha. Got loads of shots. I think some of the guys thought it was pretty cool too(i like it when i make people happy with my photography. (: )
Its hard to pick which shots to show y'all...i shall do my best. haha. I am WAY open for C&C, though i am not sure if i'll be shooting any surfers again(least not any time soon.) Some shots where OOF :( But like mom said, it was my first time.

I really like #4, and these guys are die hard to be out in Michigan waves, that water is never warm, no matter how hot it was outside

Best part of freshwater surfing - no sharks!

Nice shots.

Like the photos....but when I saw photo #4 the guy with the board by himself, I thought that would be a neat picture to crop down (just a little to take out the part where the two things are sticking up on the left side of the image) and then make it a B&W photo, but just have the surfboard in color. I have seen this done with some photos and just thought that your pic there would be neat to see that way. Wish I had the time and software to do the technique to some of my own photos just for a creative effect.
