Best Buy SCAM (as usual)

I was looking to preorder a EOS 7D to replace my 50D as second body and checking Best Buy they have a body only price of $3,999.99 and $4,999.99 with Canon 28-135mm zoom lens (which costs only $400 by itself). I called to let them know of the error and the stupid woman who answered insisted that was the right price. When I told them Canon's MSRP is $1,699 she said Canon can sell at whatever price they decide and hang up. Man, those people are stupid.

Not really, for the longest time they tried to sell the 1Ds Mark III body only for $12,999.99

Out of curiosity I would be interested in how many they sold.

Probably none. Nobody buys a 1Ds Mk III without knowing what it is and what the market price is. I emailed them several times and even on that occasion ignored me and 6 months later they dropped the price to $8,999 the original MSRP, but by then everyone else had a lower price than MSRP. Best Buy (they couldn't find a less realistic name) doesn't seem to learn from their mistakes.

I'm happy to report that Best Buy has dropped the price of the 7D to the MSRP.
I guess emailing, calling and showing them these posts on forums helped.

Anybody wants to buy a used 50D in perfect conditions?
