Hold on, you mean Pat and I are the only two? We can't do that, come on guys, you don't want Pat to go around gloating how he won or me to make him a slave for a day since I won? People can still enter right? Somebody throw something up there! LOL

AK, Quickly add your image under the original Assignment thread and I'll see if I can add you into the Poll. I'm not sure if I can but we can try !!!

thanks pat! (:

haha. that is funny.

Alright. Cindy,
I liked your shot. it was a....sad shot. I was like "aww, that's so sad." Almost feeling sorry for the woman who has appently lost someone close to her heart. I am thinking a husband. And its B&W...and i am a B&W addict. ahahaha.

But, i really enjoyed Pat's. Pat you caught an emotion i wouldn't have thought to done. I looked at it and was like "whoa. crazy mess!" a busy, overwhelming feeling. hahaha. I did vote for yours, just because the emotion i got was one i wouldn't have thought to capture with a photo. (:

I'm bummed that only Cindy, A.K and I submitted photos for this assignment. I was really looking forward to see everyone elses work because this was a subject that I thought needed a lot of work to convey.

A.K. I think your shot would have won if you would have had a guy, or some other person sitting on the bench with their head between their hands which would have left you wondering what the girl had just said to them or what had just taken place. I do like the shot, but it doesnt tell me enough of a story the way it is.

I like Cindys because it tells a complete story. Or at least you know the woman is morning a loved one she has lost. Being black and white emphasives the feeling and fits perfectly with this type of shot.

I wont comment on my own shot as I dont want to give away what I was thinking when I shot it, but I'd love to hear the feeling it gives others who look at it.

Pat, I voted for yours because as soon as I saw it, it made me stressed out! How much can one person possibly be doing at one time. The strange thing is, that is you!

Cindy, I really like your photo, however it was just to in your face emotion when the "missing you" sign was so bright, I would think that if the family photos that were on the grave, as well as the memorabilia would have shown better, the emotion would have been more felt rather than read.

Great job Pat, I voted for you.

Photography girl, I really liked everything about your photo, the sepia tone, the composition and the over all structure, I just did not see a story. The nearest I could figure is maybe she had just finished a book. I'm sure that's not it but I didn't get the whole picture. It sort of reminds me of that old photograph where a man is getting up from a bench with a newspaper under his arm and there is a street pole on the corner. I love that shot also! Great shot, just not sure of the story.

I voted for the maps and passport, mainly because I just got my passport recently and not that I am horribly excited to use it, but I Love other places, and love when you guys post pictures of them so I can see what they are like. The cemetary one was depressing - I don't do dead people and when I do go to a funeral I end up laughing. I didn't see the third one, it hadn't been posted since I had voted. I'll go look now.
None of my pictures tell a story, so that is why I didn't post anything. I have a few of say, one cow with six calves and I call her the babysitter, but no one else really cares, do they?

Pat,
that would've made a great photo story. Maybe i should've had my brother come along. hahahaha. Hmm. My only problem is that i lack thee um...confidence? in telling how people should stand, pose, etc. Perhaps you have some pointers or something.

thanks Cindy. (: I thought i did lack the whole story part. I didn't think hard enough about it i suppose(and i'll have the excuse that my best friend was up from TN this past weekend so photo comp was a little further in the back of my mind then normal. heh.) Now i must go an think hard about making a photo story, even though the compotition is over.

I agree, it was a good assignment, and something to keep in mind when I'm out and about. If you use bribery or threaten people you will be surprised at how they'll cooperate. Maybe you'll get a shot of them running away, but that is kind of a story, right? LOL I got my mom and niece to put dresses on and pose for me. My sister has done it for me, too. I try to keep their faces kind of turned away so they aren't recognizable, but people are relatively agreeable about such things.

I liked the images and wish I had more time to take photos and participate, however, I think out of the three Cindy's really caught my eye and made me wonder the most and made me think of different story lines to go along with the picture. Pat when I saw your image I was like, "this dude is good if he can use that lens and capture the globe like that" :D Then I realized how sleep deprived I was and made myself giggle. I liked how your image captured the traveler/photographer with modern equipment to do what you obivously like doing...photography. Photography~girl, I agree with the others, I like the image, but somethings missing but no matter what its still a nice photo.
