Okay, well since i didn't do so well with last times assignment, i was on a mission to re-shoot it.
I thought, and thought. i wanted to use people, but all my friends live out of state - so i had to think of another way. here is my first shot. My "facebook" friends, saw the "story", but we all weren't sure if "strangers" would be able to see it. Please, tell me what you think:

Since it was seeming to be more a collage, i decided to re-shoot. "breaking down" and using myself as a model. Gosh i hot fast. timing, standing, it shot, look at the pic, change things. hahahaha. but i think i got it. My only problem is that I ended up with "lots" of pictures - all of which i liked. Hmmm. So here is the one i like "the best", i like its composer, but am not sure if it lacks a story. what do you guys think?

Oh also, thought i'd update you guys on my school(well the photography part of it anyway.) I got Nigal Hicks book The photographers guide to light. just finished chapter two. Wooow. its been great! though a little less then confusing. hahaha. I still need to re-read about meetering. For what ever reason i just don't fully get it(like spot meetering etc) Anyway. its been great and amazing. (:

I think those photos tell a story very well.

what happens with Spot Metering is It meters only a small portion in the center of the viewfinder.
so say you got a bird on a branch against the Very bright sky or sun, with spot metering it will only meter the bird so it is properly exposed. Now with Evaluative metering it will meter a much larger portion of what you see in your view finder, trying to
expose for the sky and the bird.
Hope this helps :D
