WA & Olympic National Park

Postby airtight » Mon Jan 25, 2010 3:29 pm

Hi, I will be traveling to Washington this July & would like to know some of the best locations to shoot in & around Olympic National Park. I'm really interested in taking some landscape shots of the forest, mountains, & some wildlife shots "if I'm lucky enough?"

I would also like to know if there are any places in NW WA that are great places to shoot that me be off the radar to most tourists.

Any & all help is appreciated.

The Hoh rainforest on the west slope of the Olympics is a great place for forest shots. Lots of heavily moss covered trees and wildlife.

I would second the Hoh rainforest which is truly spectacular. Not to be missed in the same general area is Rialto Beach which has beautiful stones, big waves and is very wild.
