The time has come to give upon slides, if for no other reason than the processing labs are rapidly disappearing. And I am painfully aware that digital projectors are outrageously expensive if I hope to even approach the sharpness of my old $100 Carousels. For one who has relied for 45 years on slide shows as a way to show and share my art and my adventures to others, what is left? There is only so much wall space to show prints. And I am not adept at computer techniques and never will be. I hate to just give up on serious photography while I am still able to reach the difficult-to-see spots, but do not see anything out there which can replace my old slide presentations, certainly not anywhere near my budget, which is limited. Maybe it is time to hang it up and be thankful for the fun I had while it lasted?
Any ideas? Suggestions?
