Luckily my timing was good.
My flies, ready for action. I took this photo at home before the trip, the flies are on a piece of lichen cover giant sequoia bark.
Now for the Completely Different shots....
A real Hex mayfly emerged and climbed up onto my flyrod
It seemed as if my fly was helping to pull her up...
Greetings
Time for a kiss
Seemed like the flies were having as much fun as I was
I think she likes him
I like to think she was attempting to mate with my fly, as opposed to killing it
This little dragonfly came in for a kill, luckily I use a tear proof wing material on my flies.
The shots above were unfortunately taken with a 300mm f/4.
One more closeup and I was prepared for this shot and used a macro lens. I'm already looking forward to next years Adirondack trip!
I had a great time on my trip...
Cheers,
Graham
