Into another mysterious place in the Mojave Desert, this cliff top full of wind carved sandstone formations was a pretty amazing place to see. After a few turns on some sandy desert backroads and Christina waking up again to getting stuck for a minute in the soft sand we parked the car and walked in the direction we hoped that this place would be. It wasn't the easiest place to find since nothing is marked. I never knew a place like this existed in the Mojave. Dragons, hobgoblins and devils, there are so many things you can imagine in place like this.
This trip was based out of Las Vegas and there are plenty of things out there besides Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. You can find a little more info in my web journal at http://www.SteveSieren.Wordpress.com

These canyon narrows are closer then most other recreational activities done around the Las Vegas area.

Unlike sea kayaking you can find caves along shores of rivers and lakes and you don't have to worry about barnacles and swells
