I almost didn't go shooting yesterday -way too much wind. But I figured I'd get some time behind the camera anyway. I found a Violet Darter that was feeding from a perch and he didn't want to give up his place in the chow line. At one point my legs were right under him! So in between gusts of wind I shot a lot of frames, well over 250 of this dragon alone, and I kept only 12.
Shot in RAW and converted as shot to jpg after minimal post processing. The only crop that I use is my viewfinder. Canon 20D + 100mm macro lens.
This last shot is at life size -distance to subject: 5.9"
