Favourite effect?

For flower macros I prefer the Paint Daubs.Thooughts?

Wow :o Awesome shot. The effect is just right and the image is bold and beautiful. I'd make a minor adjustment by cropping the flower and placing it center, just to get rid of the extra space to the left of the image. You got a winner shot there. Congratulations.

Were the paint daubs used to add the dew? If so, may I suggest adding a couple of drops in the yellow area for a more believable effect?

If it isn't the dew then I can't see the effect which is great. Post production effects, just like makeup on a woman, should not be obvious. :)

As for centering the photo, I disagree. If, for example, OP wanted to use this photo for an article they could use the left side for the title. Usually I shoot flowers vertically but this shot may make me decide to change it up.

Sorry for the late reply, paint daubs was only applied to the original image. Nothing added, the drops are original. As for the background, it was by design for a bokeh effect.
