Free downloads of Exif Readers

Postby bob_r » Tue Mar 18, 2008 11:39 am

I find it very helpful to be able to read Exif data when looking at photos by other members. Not all members post photos with Exif data, but it's nice to see when it is available. If you need an Exif reader, you can download one for free at:

http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/

There is another one available for download from:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... ewer.shtml

After downloading, you just right-click on the photo and select your Exif viewer to see the info. I normally use Opanda's, but they both have the same info. I find them very helpful.

Thanks Bob,

I usually use Photoshop to read the Exif Data but this is faster.

You're welcome, Luca. I was hoping this would be useful for some of the members. I nearly always check exif data, especially when I like a shot. It may give me some ideas for my future shots when I'm trying to achieve similar results.

Just a very quick $.02 worth on this one...

The Opanda has worked great for me but I wasn't able to get Kuso to work with Firefox (or IE or Netscape). It works fine as a stand alone but not with my browsers. Also, I couldn't find any support for Kuso either...at least not in English (lots of pretty little Asian symbols that while very decorative, don't really mean a lot of you don't understand the language). I really don't know if the problem is because I'm only runny Windows 2K or if it's a hardware issue or a browser issue or what, but I would suggest going with Opanda for most folks to avoid any problems.

Many thanks out to Bob for posting the link!
Peace,
Jim

Before I go to the trouble, anyone know if these will work with a Mac? With Leopard and one without? :)
