I've been landscape and historical architecture shooter most of my life and recently, because of my location, I thought about taking up wildlife and birding so I acquired a 300mm 2.8. I also don't like changing lens in the field so I acquired an almost mint D3 to have attached to the 300mm. (D3 has not arrived yet) Although I did alot of research on the D3 before purchase, I'm still reading. Thought I'd come on here and ask, have I made a good choice for birding and wildlife having a D3 on the 300mm? My main body presently is the D700 w/24-70, 14-24 and 70-200 VRII and the 300 is great on the D700.
Thanks...............
