Fall Colors

Reply to flames............I'm going up in the SMokies next week early in the morning trying to catch that sunrise and early morning fog...I'll let you know if the colors have started yet! I was across the Foothills Parkway connecting I-40 to Cosby yesterday, and the colors have not started there yet......If you get a chance to travel the 7 mile parkway, it is a must.........There are so many maples there and so rich in colors, fantastic......

Smoky Mountain Fall Color

Postby jennit » Wed Sep 27, 2006 1:59 pm

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, but when I saw this question I had to respond. I live in Knoxville and try to go up to the mountain every weekend. I spent last weekend up there and I can tell you there is come color. Mostly the reds from the Maples, Dogwoods, etc. But you can also start to see some yellows. There is still lots of green, but there is some really pretty pictures to be taken right now. Sometime around the second weekend in October I would say the views will be breathtaking. Right now the higher up you go you will see more color.

Jenni :D
