Superstition Wilderness, Tonto National Forest, Arizona Many think the southwest desert is boring; photographing the desert is a fantastic opportunity to practice patience and timing your shots with the summer storms or evening light all when you are trying to avoid being bitten by rattlesnakes. The desert has a way of drawing you in. These images of the Superstition Mountains and surrounding area for me have a bit of respect along with them. For those of us who live here we all have stories or know someone who has not come out of these mountains alive. Some of my images are on the dark side ominous, they deserve it!
