Shot with a slow shutter speed to smooth out any ripples on the lake. 1.3 seconds at f/22, 24mm, with a circular polarizer and 3 stop hard Singh Ray neutral density filter. Single exposure, finished in Lightroom and Photoshop.
We left Bishop in a rainstorm hoping for broken clouds in the Sierra and we were rewarded! The sun played in, under, and through the clouds for over an hour. The light reflected from under the clouds, off the blue sky and off the blazing color of the Aspens. This spot normally shuts off as soon as the sun lights up the lake, but this morning the light stayed magical for a long time!
