The snow was so soft this morning that each step became a waist-deep hole. I dragged myself toward the edge of the lake, set up the tripod, and the rest of the time I just stood there and waited. The fog seemed to mute all the sound except from the curious ducks that happily explored the newly thawed water. Canon 5D Mark II + EF 17-40mm f/4L. 26mm 1/800sec at f/8, ISO3200. The settings of the exposure was to capture the snow flakes and the ducks.
