I was out for a walk, not photography. But Iâ€™ve learned to always bring my camera with me just in case something presents itself. On this day I ran across an immature red-tailed hawk perched on top of a cottonwood tree. The bird was kind enough to wait for the last moments of sunset when it was bathed in the warm vermilion light before taking to the air.
