This is the result of a high school project I started two years ago. My idea was to build a camera obscura out of a home depot shed and plaster the back wall with photo paper and expose it for six months to make an extremely high resolution solargraph. It took me about a year and a half just to get all the permits and permissions together, along with a $2,000 grant from my town. The original negative was about 6 feet tall by 8 feet wide. Each rectangular tile seen in the image is an 11x14 sheet of photo paper. Over time, from the humidity and temperature changes the paper curled and bubbled. The building in the photograph is my high school and for those of you who don't know, each of the bright streaks in the sky represents the sun for one day.
