Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon National Park.
I set up my main camera on the trail with a ISO of firstname.lastname@example.org and a 30 second exposure. Locking the shutter in with a cable release. I then mounted my back up camera and very carefully worked my way out on the narrow perch above the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. Using a small high powered flash light in my right hand I light painted the hoodoos below me trying not to light the point I was standing and blowing my exposure. I could here my camera clicking away and timed my pose and lighting in sync with the camera. After a few frames this nice shooting star streaked across the sky and I just hoped that it was captured on camera.
A self portrait I took while working on Milky Way photos over Bryce Canyon National Park.
