Description

1/400th. sec. @ f3.3, ISO 400, 2 shot pano. combined in PSE 9. Shot from the balcony of a hotel on the intracostal waterway. While laying in bed after a long night of beach bar hopping with friends from out of town I noticed the entire room take on a colorful glow that could only mean one thing, an awesome sunrise was in progress. I laid there for a few minutes debating on getting out of bed. As the glow in the room intensified the photographer in me won out over my desire to sleep off the affects of the night before. The only camera handy was a friends point and shoot that was on the table near the door so I grabbed it and headed out to the balcony. As I stepped onto the balcony my first thought, aside from my head hurts, was WOW! I fumbled through the menu to set the camera for sunset mode and snapped away. The glow was gone in minutes when the sun rose behind the clouds so it was a glass of water, a couple of aspirin and back to bed for me.
