I spent nearly a week in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks and it poured rain, everyday, all day for my entire trip. I don't think I've ever been so soggy. Although I felt defeated by the weather, I decided to give Connery pond a shot on my last morning in the area. The bands of rain broke up just enough to allow one of the most spectacular sunrises I've ever witnessed. It only lasted a few moments but I was able to capture the scene before me. It made the wet feet worth it.
