The closest airport is in Campo Grande. From there you go by car east to Chapadão do Ceu. This is the closest to for lodging. From there it is approximately 25 km on a dirt road to the south entrance of the park. You can only enter the park with a local guide.

Description

This is a termite mound in Emas National Park in Brazil at sun set. At the start of the raining season (October thru early November) bioluminescent larvae of the Click-beetle (Pyrearinus termitilluminans) appear. Emas National Park is known for its high concentration of termite mounds and it is said that these bettle larvae only are seen in this park.
