It was a beautiful, foggy, wet morning on the Lewis River. I sloshed across the rock shelf through 8 inches of water, wearing only my rain boots. Then made my way across the falls with an umbrella in one hand, my tripod in the other, and my backpack full of gear. The rock shelf is mossy and very slippery, so it was slow going and a bit scary to be honest. Standing in front of these falls is truly amazing and once you let go of your fears it's exhilarating!
