This shot was taken in the morning on the Iron Mountain trail in Poway, California. I've shot in this location many times before and this tunnel of trees never fails to fascinate me. When the sun rises, its light penetrates the tunnel. I took a few vertical shots but they weren't satisfactory for me when it came to the perspective and the light in the foreground. This horizontal shot give me perspective of the continuous 'stream' of light in the foreground that I wanted for the composition, using minimum aperture, I pointed my camera straight towards the sun. My postprocessing consisted of global adjustments, removal of chromatic aberration in lightroom, and sharpening with Nik software in photoshop from a single RAW file. I've always struggled with day time photography, but this one has opened doors for me.
