Snow smooths the contours of Duck Creek's banks and meadow, offering a pristine scene for our appreciation.
Duck Creek Pond is atop Cedar Mountain, near 8,500 feet elevation. In the summer, anglers wade into its waist deep pond to catch trout. In the winter, it's a snowmobiler's paradise. Before they carve trails in the snow, the banks around its feeder creek are smooth and pristine. The birch forest around it offers a bit of color for the mostly black & white scenes.
