Description

I happen to know a bee keeper and on this particular day we went to visit a new hive he had placed out at a farm. The bees are placed there to help pollinate the near by fruit trees. We didn't bring any bee suits to protect us but it was a cool day and being around hives before I didn't have much of a worry. This shot was taken by placing my camera and lens only about a 1 foot from the lower part of the hive. With a lot of activity around the hive I just started taking photos. This gal (all worker bees are female) defiantly saw me but decided to hang tight. This ended up being my favorite shot.
