Description: Some of the best images I've made have been when the picture I came for didn't materialize. On this morning, the scene before me lacked the clouds I had anticipated. Always open to accepting whatever nature offers, I looked around and saw an attractive pattern of pillowy clouds behind me. With no time to waste, I frantically searched for an interesting foreground, recomposed, and waited for the sun to break over the horizon. While I didn't come home with the shot I had previsualized, I did come home with a keeper!
